1. Don’t compare yourself to others. You are totally unique, and have different talents, abilities and strengths.
2. Never criticise or put yourself down. There are plenty of others who will do that for you. You need to be your…

Have you seen most of the plus-size sections out there? It’s horrifying. Whoever’s designing for plus-size doesn’t get it. The entire garment needs to be reconceived. You can’t just take a size 8 and make it larger. In my travels, I’ve been an advocate for larger women. I’ve been talking to designers, but only a half-dozen make an effort. Most say, ‘I don’t want a woman who’s a size 10 or 11 wearing my clothes.’ Well, shame on you! It’s not realistic. We need to address real women with real needs.

Most small-chested women are ashamed of their breast, but my biggest insecurity happens to be my pits. My underarms are spotted all the way down to the sides of my breast. I never understood why and I’ve been told by doctors that it wasn’t harming me, but I still did my best to wear sleeves so no one could see them.
Now that I’ve grown up a bit, and have had time to accept my body and all it’s glory, I actually kinda like having spots. I remind myself of my favorite animal: the leopard.
Look I can be a bad ass in uniform and in a dress. Nobody should hate themselves, we are all unique. If we all looked the same the world would be boring!
A poem called ‘Got Body’ which celebrates shapes, specifications and sizes in all diversity. ‘Got Body’ is my poetic stand against imposed beauty/body image and appreciation of our natural beauty!

“We let Willow cut her hair. When you have a little girl, it’s like how can you teach her that you’re in control of her body? If I teach her that I’m in charge of whether or not she can touch her hair, she’s going to replace me with some other man when she goes out in the world. She can’t cut my hair but that’s her hair. She has got to have command of her body. So when she goes out into the world, she’s going out with a command that it is hers. She is used to making those decisions herself. We try to keep giving them those decisions until they can hold the full weight of their lives.” (via Why Will And Jada Pinkett Smith Let Daughter Willow Cut Her Hair - The Frisky)
