I’ve never been comfortable with my body. This is a big thing for me to do for many reasons. I’m so close to chickening out. I’m doing this because the world needs to see more size 12 ladies naked in order to see that it’s NOT THAT BAD, and it’s NOT THE WORST THING THAT COULD EVER HAPPEN. In fact, I think I’m beautiful. It’s nice to finally be able to say that. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is have a classy naked photoshoot. Looking at this picture objectively, I don’t see an issue with this person’s body. I am slowly learning to apply that feeling to myself.
I’m learning to accept myself and the body my DNA and genes have allotted me. It’s just hard when dumbasses like this exist:

The “fat girl” they are talking about is Adele. FUCKING ADELE. I think she’s perfect and incredibly talented and she is NOT EVEN FAT. I can’t even deal with this.
I’d say we’re probably around the same size, Adele and I. Many people have told me that I remind them of her, probably because I’m a pale bluesy jazz singer with reddish hair who has some meat on her bones, but how am I supposed to deal with these peoples’ comments? (The comments are from a picture posted of her on last.fm) The answer is, naturally, to not even give a hoot what people are saying, but that is often easier said than done. We all want people to like us and to find us attractive, but the truth is, not everyone is going to. As long as we love ourselves and come to terms with ourselves, nothing else matters. There are plenty of people out there who will like you and find you attractive. Everyone else doesn’t matter; they aren’t even worth being a grain of sand in the desert of your life, unless that sand is something you’re stepping on.
