This is a place of encouragement, a place to discuss body image, insecurities, self-esteem, and everything under the umbrella of fighting self-hate and finding self-love.

No matter what you look like, what color, what gender, sexual orientation, what size or however many "flaws", healthy, not healthy, working on it, abled, disabled, we are all human, we all deserve to be happy, we all deserve to love ourselves. With this blog you will see all kinds of REAL bodies, REAL people, REAL stories.

fuckyeahbodyconfidence:

the-lanta-mermaid:I’ve always wanted to be brave like everyone else on this blog and post a photo promoting my curves, but despite that being the point of the blog I always felt so insecure and could never do it. I’ve been working on my confidence for a while now and I’ve recently been broke up with which certainly didn’t help but I’m growing from all of that and becoming a stronger and more confident person. I’m a UK10-12 and my tummy’s very podgy but that’s just who I am and I’m happy to be like that and the people who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter (cheeky Dr Seuss quote). I’ve self harmed and I’ve been on ridiculous diets but I’ve realised that I could lose all the weight in the world and I’d still feel uncomfortable because confidence comes from within yourself, it actually has little to do with how other people see you. I’m comfortable in my own skin now and so should every one on this blog! fuckyeahbodyconfidence has done a lot for me :)http://the-lanta-mermaid.tumblr.com/
